Floating Classroom Volunteer Training
Floating Classroom Volunteer Training: Thursday, May 11th, 4pm-6pm
The Floating Classroom brings young people from all around the Ipswich River watershed to our Riverbend headquarters for adventures in boats and on land! Volunteers are what make it a valuable learning and community bonding experience for all.
Come share your expertise by helping young people prepare their boats and safety equipment, place boats in the water, or lead a paddle around the bend. Share your love of trails by leading a nature walk. Find a new audience for your dad-jokes! Most of all, enjoy making connections through greeting our guests and helping them find their way.
Our goal this year is to have four to six volunteers helping with every visit to Riverbend. Many hands make light work, and our guests love to meet the people who steward this special river.
Register for the training and you’ll be signed up as a volunteer! This will be a fun evening where you’ll gather some tips and tricks for outdoor education and meet like-minded folks. We’ll be releasing specific dates that need volunteers soon.
Your presence is welcome and needed at the Floating Classroom!
